To open ArchVision Viewport, first open a Photoshop image. A new image or existing image will do. Next, click on File → Automate → ArchVision Viewport. This will reveal the ArchVision Viewport content placement interface. The first time that ArchVision Viewport is accessed it is necessary to configure it to connect to an ACM. Use the content selection dialog to find the model that you want to view for placement into Photoshop. Next, use the x, y and z sliders beneath the object to rotate it into the desired position. Once the desired placement position is achieved, click on Ok and the object will appear on a new layer in Photoshop.
Tip: Different ArchVision Viewport options will be available depending on they type of content selected. Motion content, for example, will change frames in the animated sequence when the sliders are scrubbed beneath the preview.
ArchVision Viewport offers 3D Plus content options that have never been available in Photoshop. Click on Advanced Edit to access these options for 3D Plus content.
3D Plus content has lots of different content specific options. Here you can change the wheel alignment, the tinting of the windows, change the color settings. The possibilities are endless with this smart content. Best of all, these options are built right into the content.
With 3D Plus content, not only can you create incredible aerial views because of the low poly meshes, but you can also further customize your RPCs for your clients with the Advanced Edit features.
Hold down the left mouse button to rotate the object in the ArchVision Viewport. To zoom in or out use the right mouse button and drag it backwards of forwards. Hold down both the left and right mouse buttons to pan the object around in the viewer.
The Height and Width of an RPC or SketchUp object are displayed at the top of the ArchVision Viewport dialog. These measurements are in pixels and represent the size that the object will be rendered as when added to the scene. This value will change as the object is rotated or the view zooms in or out. It is also possible to specify the resolution of the viewport to accomodate different size images.
To access the Canvas Size click on Preferences → Render Settings.
The Render Canvas Size dialog allows users to key-in values for the size of the ArchVision Viewport canvas. The Canvas is the viewable square that the ArchVision Viewport renders objects on. For instance if a value of 2000 Pixels is entered, the canvas size will be 200 pixels wide by 2000 pixels high.
Note: The Canvas size only affects the resolution of 3D+ and SketchUp objects. Planar RPCs are not affected by this change.
