Getting Started with ArchVision Dashboard

Getting Started

The ArchVision Dashboard is your portal to everything RPC. Use this tool to access content, plug-ins, software and licenses. You will need an ArchVision.com or VisMasters.com account to login to the ArchVision Dashboard. An ArchVision.com account can be created via the ArchVision Dashboard if an account does not already exist. This document will assist in Getting Started using the product.

System Requirements

ArchVision Dashboard requires the minimum system specifications:

  • .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Framework.
  • Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7. Support for Macintosh is not currently available.
  • Internet connection.
  • Active ArchVision.com or VisMasters.com account.
  • Installation of an ArchVision Content Manager (network or local).
  • Computer: System running at 200 megahertz or better.
  • RAM: 128 megabytes (MB).
  • 50 (MB) of hard drive space.
  • Additional storage space for downloaded content.

Installation

Installation is easy. Just click on the installation file and follow the onscreen instructions. The bundled installer contains both the ArchVision Content Manager (ACM) and ArchVision Dashboard. Once the ArchVision Dashboard has been installed RPC Plug-ins can be installed via the Plug-ins dialog.

First Time Usage

The first time that ArchVision Dashboard is run users are prompted for login information. Please use an ArchVision.com or VisMasters.com account to login to ArchVision Dashboard. Once successfully logged in the username will appear at the top of the ArchVision Dashboard next to preferences. ACM Integration

When you login to Dashboard it will automatically detect your local ACM. To see the local ACM ID that has been detected click on Preferences. Here you may also edit the ACM information in case you have a network ACM. When content is selected for download it is queued for the selected ACM. The content will be downloaded to the directory displayed at the bottom of the Dashboard window.
