Revit supports RPC content natively and no additional plug-in is required. Content for Revit is downloaded via the ArchVision Dashboard. Download ArchVision Dashboard here. Installing Dashboard will also install an ArchVision Content Manager (ACM), which controls content path and license information. The following documentation provides instruction on configuring Revit to connect to the ACM and explains how to place RPC objects into Revit.
Step 1: Prior to entering a project, click on the large Revit Button and then choose Options.
Step 2: In the Options dialog specify the location of the ACM and then click on ok.
Upon modifying the location of the ACM, restart Revit to commit the path change.
If you are using Revit 2012, you may have encountered difficulty connecting to an ACM on your Network.
Applications like Revit have a configuration dialog where the location of the ACM can be specified. When this information is provided a file called rpcapi.ini is written. This is normally written into the local user profile in the Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012 folder. Applications often have difficulty writing .ini files because of permissions issues.
The Problem: When changes are made to RPC configuration in Revit, an rpcapi.ini file is written to %appdata%\Autodesk\REVIT\AUtodesk Revit Architecture 2012. The issue lies in the fact that at Render time, Revit is looking for a license and not checking here. It is instead referencing C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Architecture 2012\Program.
The Solution: Configure the ACM connection in Revit (under the Render Settings found in Options) and then copy the rpcapi.ini file created from %appdata%\Autodesk\REVIT\AUtodesk Revit Architecture 2012 to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Architecture 2012\Program. Once the rpcapi.ini with correct configuration information is located in this directory Revit will be able to access the license the next time that it is initialized.

Prior to placing an RPC object into Revit, you will first need to load an RPC Family file into the Entourage list in the Project Browser.
3) Browse to Entourage in the Imperial Library directory.
4) Choose the RPC Family that you wish to load.
5) Click Open.
The Entourage file with the selected RPC Family should now be available in the Project Browser.
Once the RPC is selected, drag it into the scene. You will see a placement icon until the RPC is rendered.
The RPC will be Photorealistic when rendered.
The Entourage families can be modified to accommodate almost all of your RPC Content. The following steps will show you how to change the path configured to the selected RPC to a different RPC.
Use this process to add then rename additional members to the RPC Family. You can then save the RPC Family by selecting File followed by Save to Library then Save Family. The family can later be loaded into the project browser by choosing Load from Library and then Load Family from the File menu.
